A fresh-start romcom with heart, humour and a modern edge, Playing the Field follows Eliza, a 38-year-old woman who escapes London after heartbreak and finds herself rebuilding everything — her confidence, friendships, work, love life and sense of self — in the countryside.

This is a story about reinvention, starting again without shame, changing pace, changing postcode, and discovering the power of community when life doesn’t go quite to plan.

Tabitha brings a brilliant crossover story of her own. Best known as an established British designer, her work has been worn by Kate Middleton, Miranda Kerr, Fearne Cotton and Dannii Minogue, and she has collaborated with Pippa Middleton and the British Heart Foundation. Now, with Playing the Field, she turns her sharp eye, warmth and wit to fiction.

In conversation with Sarah Parish, Tabitha will discuss writing a romcom for grown-up women, reinvention after heartbreak, the reality of fresh starts, and her journey from fashion to fiction.

The evening will include an author conversation, audience Q&A and signing.
