At Saucy Books, we want you to love every book you take home. If something isn't quite right, here's how our returns and refunds work.
Your Consumer Rights
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
If you purchase online, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your items for any reason and receive a refund, subject to the conditions below.
To exercise your right to cancel, please contact us at orders@saucybooks.com within 14 days of receiving your order.
Items must then be returned to us within 14 days of notifying us of your cancellation.
Returns
To be eligible for a return:

Items must be returned in their original condition.

Items should be unused and suitable for resale.

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is faulty, damaged, or incorrect.
We recommend using a tracked delivery service, as we cannot be responsible for returns lost in transit.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned unless they are faulty, damaged, or not as described:

Personalised books or products made to your specifications

Gift cards

Ticketed events
Sale items may only be returned in accordance with your statutory rights.
Damaged, Faulty or Incorrect Items
If your order arrives damaged, faulty, or you receive the wrong item, please contact us as soon as possible (within 14 days) at orders@saucybooks.com.

Clear photographs where applicable
We will arrange a replacement, refund, or other appropriate resolution at no additional cost to you.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you by email.
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for purchase.
Please allow 5-10 working days for the refund to appear, depending on your payment provider.
Original delivery charges will be refunded where required by law.
Pre-Orders
Pre-orders may be cancelled at any time before dispatch for a full refund.
Once a pre-order has been dispatched, our standard returns policy applies.
Store Credit
In some circumstances, we may offer store credit as an alternative to a refund where agreed with the customer.
Any store credit issued will be provided by email and will be subject to any applicable terms communicated at the time of issue.
Exchanges
We do not currently offer direct exchanges. If you would like a different item, please return your original order (where eligible) and place a new order.
